WOW--what a successful first season we had! We established a new wind ensemble and performed four concerts with some beautiful music! We reached out to audiences all over our area with concerts in Gainesville, Argyle, and Denton. We established a rehearsal "home" at the NCTC Denton Campus and at the Calhoun Middle School rehearsal hall. We revitalized the band program at NCTC by providing an amazing experience for our students, as they are now able to make music alongside professional musicians and music educators.

The 2023-24 season looks quite promising with the addition of new members, more great music, and a dependable calendar of rehearsals and performances.

Accomplished musicians are invited to audition for the group. Brand new members must submit online auditions via the Flip platform. Use your smartphone app or the website, and enter join code nctwinds. Auditions will be in the form of a 90-second video that will feature at least one two-octave scale and a short musical excerpt of the musician's choice. No high school/middle school students will be allowed to participate.

Rehearsals are held at Calhoun Middle School in downtown Denton. The group rehearses from 7-9 PM on Monday evenings.
